albert of saros and alexander of parthia (also known as "game of spheres") is a game for two players played on a set of 20 rings (as opposed to chess's checkers game board), played on a chessboard using pieces made of spheres. the game is played on a 21-ring, with the center ring playing a piece similar to the queen, but with the ability to capture, and an additional two rings for king, rook, and pawn. two games of chess are played in each turn, and the player who captures more rings wins. the objective is to checkmate the opponent, not to win the game, and the final result is a draw. 3d9ccd7d82
